The VDR voyage data recorder has been designed with the combination of a high-performance main processor and Solid State technology. Offering extremely reliable performance with a superior user experience.
Exceeding the MSC.333(90) regulations, the X2 has been designed as a fit and forget system.
Although its high quality 8” (or 9.7”) touch screen can be a useful bridge monitoring tool.

RETROFIT SPECIALITY

Retrofit installations are quick and easy thanks to the VDR’s three wire microphone solution.

•  Use existing cabling – no need to run new cables

In addition, the new larger cable management system accommodates bulky VGA connectors and thick power cable to pass into the main unit along with the smaller data cables.

PLENTIFUL STORAGE

The Float Free and Fixed capsule have a storage capacity of 64GB. Therefore, allowing excess of the required 48 hours of data storage. The internal Solid State drive has a capacity of 1TB which allows for around 60 days of storage, double that of the required 30 days as specified by MSC.333(90) regulations.

OPTIONS

With 2x capture cards, 4x capture cards or no capture cards.

Designed for easy and economic installation, the X2272 is the system of choice for vessels requiring an SVDR system that offers ongoing performance with excellent support

• The X2272 captures all mandatory information and stores it in an approved data storage capsule.
• Data capture is fully automated and requires no action from the ship’s crew.
• Additionally, an incident capture may be initiated by the crew which will save 12 hours of data.
• Up to a further two days of ships data can be accessed from the system memory which is then overwritten on a continual loop process.
• A minimum of 12 hours historic playback data is recovered by downloading the information from the capsule onto a laptop computer or alternate storage devices.
• The system continues recording data without interruption during the download process.

With system being compact and lightweight, the system is ideal for both large and small vessel bridges.
